Our stair noses are already down to bare wood in two spots. Can you fix that?
No. Once the finish is gone and the oak is open, there is nothing for a coat to bond to, and the exposed wood will keep darkening. That is a repair or replacement of those treads by a carpenter or a refinisher. We do not sand or refinish, and we will tell you on the walkthrough instead of after.
Can we use the stairs while you are working?
Not that flight, and only for the time we are on it. We usually schedule the staircase first or last depending on how the house works, so you are never cut off from a floor you need.
Is the floor slippery after a coat goes down?
