Engineered flooring is a stack. A wood face on top, several plies of cheaper timber underneath running in opposing directions, and adhesive holding the whole thing together. That construction is why it is stable on a slab and why it is the standard product across this county.
The vulnerability is the adhesive. It is a water-based glue in most products, and given enough moisture over enough time it releases. When it does, the face veneer separates from the ply beneath it, and the plank edge lifts, splinters, or bubbles.

What It Looks Like Early

It is the beginning of delamination and it does not stop on its own.

If you find delamination, the useful next step is not to look at the board, it is to look for the water source, because the board is telling you where it is.

The plank has physically come apart and the only fix is to take that board out and put another one in, which is a flooring contractor's job. On a floating floor that is straightforward. On a glue-down it is more work. Either way it is worth doing before the surrounding boards go the same way, since they are getting the same water.

Can the plank be glued back down?
Occasionally a very early lift can be persuaded to lie down with the right adhesive and weight, and it is a temporary result more often than a fix, because the layers have already failed and the moisture that caused it usually has not gone. A flooring contractor is the right person to judge it.
Is my whole floor going to do this?
Only where water gets to it. A floor with one bad board in front of the dishwasher and thirty good rooms is completely normal. Deal with the leak and the rest of the floor carries on indefinitely.
How do I know if I have engineered or solid?
Take a floor register cover off and look at the cut edge. Solid wood is one continuous material from the top of the board to the bottom. Engineered shows a thin face over stacked plies, and once you have seen it the difference is obvious.
